We have a very high commitment towards Equal Opportunities across the whole Centre in order to ensure the highest levels of achievement for everyone. We all support this through planning to create an enviroment full of opportunities for everyone who attends.
We are opposed to stereotyping, racial prejudice or harassment and will take firm action to prevent this at all times. We will challenge any incidents that show discrimination or prejudice.
Special Educational Needs
We strongly promote an inclusive ethos across the whole school and aim to meet the needs of all children. We identify and prioritise those children whose needs can be better supported through carefully planned specific intervention.
The advice and support of other professionals: Nursery Support Teacher (LA Inclusion Team), Speech and Language Therapist and Educational Psychologist is given on a regular, planned basis.
Purley Nursery School was inspected by Ofsted on 6 March 2018. We are delighted to say that yet again Ofsted recognised the Outstanding quality of our nursery provision.

The Federation between Purley Nursery School and Christ Church Primary School is now established and is known as the Purley Partnership Federation. A federated governing body is now in place to oversee the governance of both schools.
Purley Nursery School is pleased to be able to offer the new Government Funded 30 hours of free childcare. Parents who think they might be eligible will need to check on the website, www.childcarechoices.gov.uk, the term before they wish to take up their entitlement.
At Purley Nursery School the 30 hours are offered Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 11.30 and 12.30 to 3.30pm term time only (with the option to pay for the lunch period and bring a packed lunch). Breakfast and After School Club are also available at an additional charge. Please come and visit us Monday to Thursday between 9.30 and 10.30 am or 1pm to 2.30 pm for further details.
All 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours of free nursery education. In our School parents and carers can buy additional child-care sessions to provide a full-time place between 7.45am and 6.00pm (subject to availability).
We encourage parents to take up their education hours across the whole week wherever possible - 3 hours on a daily basis morning or afternoon - as we believe that this provides valuable continuity for children.
You can pay your invoice for your additional sessions by ParentPay. Please click here to access our Parent Pay page.
