Our School, along with Governors, the children and their families, has developed a Core Framework. We feel this framework reflects the ethos and culture of our school and describes what we do and aspire to on a daily basis. It is applicable to anyone, adult or child, who is a part of our school community.
Happy, confident learners
Achieving and growing together
Caring, Respectful and Independent
Research has shown that children learn more in the first five years than at any other time in their lives. We will:
1. establish strong links with parents/carers, involving them in their children's progress and the ways in which they learn, recognising the crucial role of parental involvement in their child's education.
2. ensure that the transition from home/other nursery settings to this nursery and later from Nursery on to Reception Class is a happy time.
3. value and promote the diversity of race, culture, beliefs and faiths which the children and their families bring.
4. provide high quality teaching and learning experiences which will enable every child to become a happy and confident learner, recognising that each child will develop at their own pace and in their own way physically, intellectually, socially and emotionally.
Purley Nursery School was inspected by Ofsted on 6 March 2018. We are delighted to say that yet again Ofsted recognised the Outstanding quality of our nursery provision.

The Federation between Purley Nursery School and Christ Church Primary School is now established and is known as the Purley Partnership Federation. A federated governing body is now in place to oversee the governance of both schools.
Purley Nursery School is pleased to be able to offer the new Government Funded 30 hours of free childcare. Parents who think they might be eligible will need to check on the website, www.childcarechoices.gov.uk, the term before they wish to take up their entitlement.
At Purley Nursery School the 30 hours are offered Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 11.30 and 12.30 to 3.30pm term time only (with the option to pay for the lunch period and bring a packed lunch). Breakfast and After School Club are also available at an additional charge. Please come and visit us Monday to Thursday between 9.30 and 10.30 am or 1pm to 2.30 pm for further details.
All 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours of free nursery education. In our School parents and carers can buy additional child-care sessions to provide a full-time place between 7.45am and 6.00pm (subject to availability).
We encourage parents to take up their education hours across the whole week wherever possible - 3 hours on a daily basis morning or afternoon - as we believe that this provides valuable continuity for children.
You can pay your invoice for your additional sessions by ParentPay. Please click here to access our Parent Pay page.
