Fundraising & Charities

Each year we hold fund raising events. Proceeds are used to buy into extra-curricula activities for children e.g. musicians; puppet shows etc.

We also raise funds throughout the year by Book Sales and other similar events.

Here at Purley Nursery School we are incredibly proud of the beautiful grounds and garden area we have for the children to play, explore and learn in.  The challenging aspect of having such a space is the constant upkeep required to maintain it as a safe and exciting environment.

As you may be aware, school budgets are being squeezed and we are finding it increasingly difficult to give these areas of our school the care they need to be the best environment possible for our pupils.

generations of children to come.

We are currently raising funds to replace our Tiger Trail that sadly has succumbed to wood deterioration.

Christmas Jumper Day! - ‘Save the Children’

In December 2022, children and nursery staff were all invited to wear a ‘Christmas Jumper’ and take part in this fund raising event for ‘Save the Children’.

We're excited to share that we raised £61.35!

Thank you to all that donated to this fantastic charity and cause.

The cost of living crisis is affecting many families in our school and wider community.

To support this, we collected donations for the Purley Food Hub in December.

Purley Nursery School supports the Rocking Horse Children's Charity.

We currently have a clothing bank on our premises.

Please donate your unwanted clothes and shoes to help raise money for sick children.

Thank you to Knights Garden Centre who donated Compost, bark and runner beans for our garden. The children have been working hard with Emma and the other key workers tending the vegetable patches and flower beds. We are looking forward to another bumper crop this year!
