Achieving and Growing Together
Children of ‘Key workers’, carrying out front line services in response to the current COVID-19 situation, will have access to child care provision. If your child has an Education Health and Care Plan or you and your family are known to support services across Croydon, you will also have access to child care provision.
Please contact the school office if you are eligible for this or you are unsure.
To ensure the safety of staff and ‘key worker’ families it is paramount that our school community self-isolate at home and minimise the risk of COVID-19 spreading. Please do not attempt to visit Purley Nursery School. The School Office will be able to take telephone messages and respond to school emails. Please note that due to reduced staffing, response times may vary.
Our school has again been recognised as an "Outstanding" school by Ofsted. Our 2018 Ofsted Report can be read here

Purley Nursery School is funded by the Government via Croydon Local Authority. We are a fully inclusive Setting open to all in the Community.
At Purley Nursery School we provide a warm, stimulating, welcoming environment which gives a secure foundation for all children to become happy, confident, caring individuals who achieve personal success and develop a lifelong love of learning. We are very proud of our school and welcome all visitors.
Funded by Croydon Local Authority, Purley Nursery School offers integrated Education and Care places for 2, 3 and 4 year olds and a range of provision to support families within the Community.
All three and four year olds are entitled to 15 hours of free nursery education for 38 weeks of the year in the term following their third birthday. In addition, from September 2017 we are pleased to be able to offer the additional 15 hours free childcare to parents who might be eligible (making a total of 30 hours of free childcare per week).
Some two year olds are entitled to 15 hours of free nursery education for 38 weeks a year in the term following their second birthday. Further information is under the School Provision Tab.
