Purley Nursery School is funded by the Government via Croydon Local Authority. We are a fully inclusive Setting open to all in the Community.
At Purley Nursery School we provide a warm, stimulating, welcoming environment which gives a secure foundation for all children to become happy, confident, caring individuals who achieve personal success and develop a lifelong love of learning. We are very proud of our school and welcome all visitors.
Funded by Croydon Local Authority, Purley Nursery School offers integrated Education and Care places for 2, 3 and 4 year olds and a range of provision to support families within the Community.
All three and four year olds are entitled to 15 hours of free nursery education for 38 weeks of the year in the term following their third birthday. In addition, from September 2017 we are pleased to be able to offer the additional 15 hours free childcare to parents who might be eligible (making a total of 30 hours of free childcare per week).
Some two year olds are entitled to 15 hours of free nursery education for 38 weeks a year in the term following their second birthday. Further information is under the School Provision Tab.
Purley Nursery School is pleased to be able to offer the new Government Funded 30 hours of free childcare from September 2017. Parents who think they might be eligible will need to check on the website, www.childcarechoices.gov.uk, this term in order to take up their entitlement from September.
At Purley Nursery School the 30 hours are offered Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 2.30pm term time only (children to bring a packed lunch). Breakfast and After School Club are also available at an additional charge. Please come and visit us any day between 9.30 and 10.30 am or 1pm to 2.30 pm for further details.

Nursery Places for Two Year Olds
We are now able to offer places to two year olds. Priority is given to those eligible for government funding but consideration is also given to parents wishing to pay for childcare. Please contact your local Children's Centre or visit the school to check whether your two year old is eligible for a funded place.
All 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours of free nursery education. In our School parents and carers can buy additional child-care sessions to provide a full-time place between 7.45am and 6.00pm
We encourage parents to take up their education hours across the whole week wherever possible - 3 hours on a daily basis morning or afternoon - as we believe that this provides valuable continuity for children.
